I've come to love a good sandwich bar. Quick, healthy, cheap. What's not to love? In Penticton it was Il Vecchios. On Vancouver Island, Red Barn has become a favourite. Here's an observation. I order the same dang thing every time. Depending on who makes my wrap, it tastes different. And the service is different - sometimes friendly and sometimes rushed or indifferent. The point?... Caring about your craft and delivery of service makes a big difference. I can feel it and I can taste it, and it makes the whole experience different.
Painting walls is no different than sandwich making. The difference is our 'Give-A-Crap'. Are we engaged in what we are doing, do we enjoy our work and take pride in our deliverables? Do we have a smile on our face when we interact with our clients? After a client has spoken with me, do they feel better, or worse? The best ingredient is love. It's rare, and it's the real difference maker.
