Painting without music is like canoeing without a paddle...it's possible, but not much happens and it ain't much fun. On a typical worksite, seems you are likely to hear one of these types of music... 1. Heavy rotation Top 40 pop hits 2. Screamo death metal 3. Classic rock or... 4. Trucks-beer-'n-babes country music Now taste is personal and variety is the spice of life, but sometimes a guy yearns to listen to something a little more authentic. A good upbeat tune is the lubricant to your work day. If you haven't heard of them yet, you may want to check out the band Jon & Roy from Vancouver Island... They are my favourite band of the past year and I can't stop listening to them...they lay down some really laid back jams that are super easy to listen to. Their style is a mix of Jack Johnson/Great Lake Swimmers/Wake Owl. Some refreshing tunes to get you into a groove as you paint, and a mellow vibe to unwind with after a hard day's work. To get a sense of their style I recommend checking out Little Bit Of Love and Let It Go. They also put on a great live show if you get a chance to see them in person.
